-｢地の果て」という意味のコンウォール半島の先端にある岬。~
ブリテン島の最西端にあたる。~
-ランズ・エンドの開発は、19世紀半ばにこの地域にあった酒場が海岸付近にホテルを開業したことに始まる。~
-鉄道がペンザンスまで延びてコンウォール半島に来る観光客は増えたが、ランズ・エンド自体は次第にさびれていった。1987年にホテルを買い取ったオーナーは観光客がこの場所で長く留まるよう、周辺にアトラクション施設を建設した。~
-現在のオーナーは国内各地でテーマパーク事業を展開するビジネスマンで、施設を拡大、発展させている。~
-コンウォール半島の地勢がインタラクティブに理解できる「コースト」、この地域の伝説をマルチスクリーンで紹介する「リターン・トゥ・ザ・ラスト・ラビリンス」、人気SFテレビドラマのキャラクターが間近で見られる「ザ・フー」などのアトラクションのほか、かわいらしい動物がいる「グリーブ・ファーム」もある。kbt~
