*キュービックハウス　Kijk-Kubus（サイコロ型集合住宅） [#gcf2065e]
-洗練されたモダンな建築物が数多く見られるロッテルダムにあってひときわ異彩を放っているのがサイコロ型の集合住宅である。~
-旧港湾地区の地域開発事業の一環、オランダの建築家ビート・ブロムの設計で1975年に試作品を建てた後、1982年に着工・途中資金繰りに問題が生じたものの1984年に無事完成した。~
-このサイコロ型集合住宅は幹線道路の上に橋梁の様な形で建設されており・旧港と市中心部を結ぶ遊歩道の役割をしている。~
-また、空間に建設された集合住宅そのものがビジネスエリア・カフェ・レストラン・学校・カルチャーセンター、子供の遊び場など、ひとつの町としての機能を持ったエリアとなることを意図して設計されており、パブリック・スペースとプライベート（住居）を結合させた新しい移住空間の創造に成功している。~
-芸術的な空間の美を大切にして設計されたこのサイコロ型の集合住宅を間近で見ると、傾いた立方体の集合体と鉛筆のように見える全体像は劇空間的であり、絵の様な錯覚にとらわれる。地面から垂直に建てられた柱に、立方体の住居の一角が接続されており、側面が53、5度の角度でそれぞれ地面と空に向いている。~
-柱に沿って階段を上ると1階（実際は2階）はキッチン、リビング・ダイニングとトイレ。~
2階は2つの寝室と風呂場。さらに階段を上がると屋根裏部屋がある。~
-全部で51あるサイコロ型の住居のうち28は一般住居用、残りは商業用として利用されており、Show−Cubeと呼ばれモデルハウスとして−般公開している部屋もある。~
-現在周辺には数多くのカフェやブティックが立ち並びロッテルダム市内でも有数のファッショナブルな地域に生まれ変わった。~
-ヘルモンドのカルチャーセンター脇にも同じような初期モデルのサイコロ型の集合住宅を見ることができるが、~
