-ボルガ河が蛇行する地点にあるこじんまりとした町。~
-ロシアの動乱時代の始まりともなった、イワン4世の息子フョードルの弟・ドミトリー皇子暗殺事件勃発の地として知られる。~
-町はウスペンスカヤ広場を中心にいくつかの通りが放射線状に延びており、歩いて見て回れる規模。ホテルや見どころが集まるヤロスラフスカヤ通りがメインストリート。~
-シーズンともなればボルガ河界隈はクルーズを楽しむ多くの観光客でにぎわいを見せる。~
-1591年、9歳のドミトリー皇子が殺害されたという場所に建つ深紅の「（血の上の）ドミトリー皇子教会」をはじめ、美しいフレスコ画を擁する「スパソ・プレオブラジェーンスカヤ聖堂」や博物館として公開されている「旧市議会」などが集まる「クレムリン」は、町で最も古い一帯。10世紀頃築かれたものと推測されている。kj~
